The Colour of Water Pops Out in This All-White Pool in Ain Sokhna

While beaches are irreplicable, we can always appreciate pools. At Ain El Sokhna, Tanoak hotel hired A-Squared Landscapes to make the pool the main view at their lodgings.

With the weather heating up, some of us just want to spend the entire summer season submerged in various bodies of water. While beaches are irreplicable, we can always appreciate pools. At Ain El Sokhna, Tanoak hotel decided to make the pool the main view of their lodgings. Going for an all-white Santorini look that’s consistent with the rest of the architecture, Tanoak relied on the expertise of A-Squared Landscape, one of Egypt’s leading landscape and pools companies.

“Our focus in this project was the pool, which gets its blue colour from the sky,” A-Squared’s co-founder, Ahmed Alaa, tells #SceneHome. That gorgeous shade of azure doesn’t come from mosaics; it’s white textured paint that lets the natural colour of the water take centre stage. “Everything was white, that was the mood the owners wanted.”

“The pool is split into two zones, the surrounding areas are sunken seats that are close to the restaurant and then there’s the main pool along with its bridge,” Alaa continues. “On its right there’s a pool bar and chaise lounges in the water.”

The wet deck provides seating in view of the rustic wooden finishes on the bar. White is in trend, and in this pool, there’s 850 metres of it to enjoy while being seated within the pool itself, making it convenient, accessible and a joy to look at.
